The D. H. Chen Foundation

Ms. Karen Cheung is the Trustee and Chief Strategist of The D. H. Chen Foundation, a family
philanthropic trust established in 1970 by Dr. Din Hwa Chen who also established the Nan Fung Group. With the aspiration of building a compassionate society, the Foundation has been initiating and supporting innovative, sustainable and impactful programs, in order to realize Dr. Chen’s philosophy “Care for others as well as you would care for yourself”.
Serving on the board of Ronald McDonald House Charities Hong Kong, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and CHAT (Centre for Heritage, Arts and Textile), Karen was appointed Honorary Fellow of The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021 and Honorary University Fellow of The University of Hong Kong in 2022.

She is also the Executive Director of Vervain Resources, a private company investing in Hong
Kong and other international markets with a diversified real estate related business portfolio.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Leadership from Claremont McKenna
College in the United States.
