Guneet Banga is an Executive Director at The Caravel Group, and has over the last 6 years, increased the company’s presence and involvement in sustainability, climate change and impact investing. Currently, Guneet heads Caravel Sustainable Investments (CSI), under which all the Groups public and private investments in the sustainable universe are held. CSI makes investments in public and private markets, through equities, ETFs, thematic baskets, green and blue bonds and also distinct investments. In September 2023, Guneet co-founded Parinama, an Indian entity which is focused solely on solving issues around climate change and the environment as they exist in India, and then scaling and syndicating solutions to other developing countries who face similar problems. Parinama is a key entity in the Indian Climate Impact Investing Tech Ecosystem (ICIITE) which was formally announced publicly in November at the G20. Until January 20Guneet was an operating GP and LP in Aera VC, .an early-growth fund that defines its purpose as “investing today for a better world tomorrow.” Aera VC is a portfolio company of CSI. Guneet sits on the Board of the Sustainable Finance Initiative in Hong Kong. He also serves on numerous Working Groups at both Indian Impact Investors Council the Global Impact Investing Network. Guneet received an AB in Economics and a Certificate in East Asian Studies and Finance from Princeton University and an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. He has also received his GRI Certification, PRI Certification, and completed the ESG Specialization Program from the Corporate Finance Initiative
