A Hong Kong-based writer/director and producer, Joanna is the entrepreneurial force behind Cheeky Monkey Productions. With a flair for crafting compelling cross-cultural narratives, her films showcase inspiring journeys from bold minorities.
Her acclaimed feature documentary debut, THE HELPER, enjoyed a sold-out theatrical release in Hong Kong cinemas and was acquired for international distribution by AmazonPrime and AppleTV+. Her follow-up, REFASHIONED, premiered at DocDMZ in Korea, and had theatrical runs across Asia.

Joanna has also directed award-winning TV commercials for prominent brands including The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Cathay Pacific, and ANTA sportswear.

Joanna is currently in production on a new documentary profiling seven rising-star, female basketball players from Hong Kong with their sights set on America’s WNBA.
