Romain Ciarlet is Vice Chairman and CEO of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation. He joined the Foundation in 2019 as Executive Director and General Secretary, contributing significantly to its strategic development, particularly in fundraising, partnerships, and cross-cutting initiatives. He has played a key role in advancing the Foundation’s blue economy and blue finance priorities through initiatives such as the ReOcean Fund, the Ocean Innovators Platform, and the Blue Economy Index, which foster innovation and direct investment towards ocean conservation. Previously, he pursued a diplomatic career in Germany and Russia, working on international cooperation projects. He is married and has one daughter.
