Sophiya Chiang is a data scientist and technology leader focused on inclusive entrepreneurship and sustainable systems. She founded Deploy, a venture operating system that leverages a global expert network to provide real-time insights and due diligence for startups and investors. Sophiya currently serves as the Curator of the Global Shapers Community in Hong Kong. Her experience includes leadership roles at robotics and IoT startups, as well as work in AI and defense technology.Sophiya holds a B.A. in Computer Science from Wellesley College (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and an MSc in Advanced Computing from Imperial College London. Her research at Imperial College and MIT Media Lab focused on machine learning, human-robotic interaction, and computer vision.
